Digital step by step insert concept. Bridging the gap between fine art and lowbrow culture.
The idea behind the insert with its imagery is two-fold. One, the digital representation of the stencil is also/will be the vector version of the stencil itself. So it will be an exact representation of what is in the kit, but much easier to see both in print as well as digitally. Secondly, top right hand of each page is the "freehanded" version that is the originally conceived artwork that the stencil and its process is based on. While the final stencil(s) will have a finished feel that can be realized within a couple of hours, the correlation between the final product and its origin is the heart and soul of these kits. They are based on a tradition painting method that is not normally synonymous with a traditional "airbrush" approach. The stencil itself holds a lot of educational value in both its history as well as its approach while maintaining its relevance with current subject matter.
